Florida Second Amendment Sales Tax Holiday

Florida Sales Tax Holiday · 1 September – 31 December 2026

No sales tax on firearms, ammunition and parts in Florida until 31 December.

Florida’s second annual Second Amendment Sales Tax Holiday runs for four months this year, and the 2026 version is wider than the last one. If you have been putting off a build, a barrel, a trigger or an optic, this is the window.

Alpha Group Armory is an FFL dealer in Naples, Florida. Everything below is tax-free at our counter for the duration of the holiday.

Tax-free, with no price cap

Firearms & ammunition

  • Firearms — pistols, rifles, shotguns, any price
  • Ammunition, any price
  • Bows and crossbows

Parts & accessories

  • Barrels, triggers, internal parts and components
  • Suppressors and silencers
  • Sights and optics, rests and bipods
  • Stocks and braces, pistol grips, handguards
  • Magazines and feeding devices, charging handles
  • Slings, holsters, cases, range bags, cleaning kits

Worth knowing before you come in: the holiday covers goods, not work. Florida specifically excludes repairs and rentals. So on a trigger upgrade the trigger itself comes to you tax-free, but our bench time is still taxable. Same with a barrel swap — part tax-free, labor not. Commercial purchases are excluded too.

What this is worth on a build

Florida sales tax is 6% at state level, plus Collier County’s local surtax. On a $3,800 rifle that is a few hundred dollars that stays in your pocket, and on a full custom build with optic, suppressor and furniture it adds up considerably further. The savings apply per item, with no cap on any firearm, any round of ammunition, or any of the parts listed above.

Make the window count

Four months sounds like a lot until December arrives. Builds and gunsmith work are booked in order, so the earlier the parts are on order, the more likely the job lands inside the holiday.
